ok so i’m looking into buying an acura integra for a project car. I don’t quite know what year yet but any with the 4 headlights. That’s my favorite body style. I don’t know what trim either. I can’t afford a type r so that’s out of the question. i was thinking getting a gsr with alot of miles and getting it rebuilt so it’s more efficient and getting new parts to replace the stock ones. (such as cams and pistons ect,) But i don’t know how to go about getting it rebuilt or what i need to do to make sure i don’t get ripped off. i’m new to this and have done some research but this is something i really want to do. I don’t know the specific name brands i should get or what they are called. I was reading up on some forums and i’ve heard that the b18c5 is a good motor. but my goal is to have a turbo charged integra that is pushing 300hp at the wheels if possible. I would also like to know about suspension and handling if you can help me with that. cambering the wheels, clutch kits, all that good stuff. stage kits also. exhaust would be nice. (what kind should i get and how should it be done. what the price range is) i would also like to know the price for anything if you have it. thanks for your help.

I have a couple issues with my truck, i am still getting left to right shimmy when hitting bumps threw town( just gets worse at higher speeds and the steering wheel and truck shake) these are the things i have had replaced in the last 6-7 months-Tie rod,Tie rod end, track bar,sway bar link pins,skyjacker shocks and steering stabilizer, Front and rear Drive shaft U joints,The Ball Joints are tight (i think that’s it), Then i had an alignment was told everything was ok Except the camber there was allot of Negative camber causing the tires to slant in toward the truck they said i would need adjustable Ball Joints to fix this. Is this what is causing the Shimmy and truck shaking at highway speed??? is there any other loose parts i should check for, steering box, axel joints??

I am putting in my new coil over shocks and springs on my 91 mustang. There is a needle bearing that sits between the top of the spring and the camber caster plate. I think it is to make it eaisier to adjust since there is also a heavy duty sealed bearing on the camber caster plates. Should i put some grease on the needle bearing or not? Also I have a steeda bumsteer kit thadoes not have a boot like the stock tie rod ends. Does this reqire grease? What kinds of grease should I use?
i’m looking for the following items… can anyone send me links to the best of each of these?
1. a GOOD performance clutch that i don’t have to be able to leg press 450 pounds to use, though can handle 500-600 horses
2. what is the best intake manifold? i see a LOT of the “fast” ones advertised all over, but i’m wondering if they are actually the best ones, or if they just have the best marketing.
3. where can i find bigger fuel injectors?
4. i need a car tuner.. i’m fully aware of the TYPES of tuners, i see them advertised all over the place but….. my question to you is, Have you ACTUALLY USED one of whatever it is you’re referring me to, and did it ACTUALLY do what it was supposed to?
5. a 6 speed tranny rebuild kit that includes the synchronizers and main seal gasket.
6. good flowing heads.
i’m going to get an STS turbo system, and i think in order for it to really be taken advantage of, i’ll need these things ..
as well as a dickton of suspension stuff.

7. a good locking rear differential. I think it’s a common problem with all stock camaros, especially in this year range, if not – all-, but, when i hit the gas, it wants to fish tail…. usually sweeps out to the right making me go left.
i want to go in a STRAIGHT line and not into a ditch or into the car next to me when i gun it… i see a lot of cars at the track that DO … how can i make mine do that too?
8. a lowering kit that i can put on it WITHOUT having to do extra wheel camber work. (which typically means that it doesn’t lower it by much… that’s fine… i just want an inch or so)
here’s the question though….
if i put all this money together, and sell the z28 instead, i could to buy a 2-5 year old corvette that has 500 hp when it comes down to labor and parts on this…
think i should just do that?

I’m building a Chevy pick-up and installing a 350/350 combo, what engine angle should I be aiming for to correspond with the pinion angle? It I level the carb mounting surface to the horizontal, will this be correct? I have also installed a Mustang 2 front suspension kit from Speedway motors,can anyone give me the Camber and toe-in measurements?
The front end is based on stock Mustang upper and lower arms.
well, i want a 2in leveling lift to match up the front and rear on my Ford, but was wondering, does the spacer go under the coil? and if so, then will it creative a pos camber on my truck making me need a $215 axle repositioning kit just to correctly mount a $40 lift? thanks for any help

Hi, I am considering lowering my 99 Honda Civic Dx coupe with lowering springs, but I want to know if I have to get anything else to complement it after it has been lowered. An employee told me I need camber kits, but I am only trying to lower it about 1 inch for the rear and 1.5 for the front. Its stock height is about 5 or 6 inches off the ground. Do I need anything else besides the lowering springs? Any suggestions? Links and other suggestions for what I can do. All suggestions necessary for lowering the car will be very appreciated. Thanks!

first is handling
so my car is Integra GS (not GSR) and I put in:
1. Skunk2 Pro C coilovers
2. SKunk2 front and rear camber kits
3. Skunk2 lower control arms and bar
4. Skunk2 front and rear strut bars
5. lowered by 1.5 inches
6. Maybe getting 17 inch work cr kai rims with yokohama parada spec-2 tires
so does mine current handle better than an Integra Type R? there’s one for sale and it’s such an awesome deal i want to sell mine and buy the R.
second is engine. for mine:
1. AEM V2 cold air intake
2. Greddy stainless header
3. Greddy Ti-C cat back exhaust 60mm diameter
4. Skunk2 Pro series intake manifold
5. NGK iridium IX spark plugs and blue NGK cables
compared with stock B18C5 engine on a Type R.
So any thoughts if i should get rid of my car and get the type R? i spent a lot of money of my car and did all those work in the last half a year. now i totally regret everything. think 2 times next time before spending money.

I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX which looks like a giraffe, so I wanted to drop it about 1.5 inches, but I wanted to weigh out the costs for it first. Uhm, for all those lowering enthusiasts, what would you recommend I get ? What’s needed ? Springs, coilovers, camber kits .. ? I haven’t done too much research into it yet, but I’m hoping to get a good start here on Yahoo Answers for actual people.
Please don’t waste your time telling me that lowering my car is stupid, because I don’t need to hear it. People have their own likes & dislikes. And as for me, I will much rather prefer a good look and better handling, and yes, I know that it may be difficult to go over bumps, but I’ve already driven a few lowered cars.

i want to use my car to do everything pretty well rounded i just want to know if some parts are just same but different like turbocharger and supercharger, ( you have to get one or the other…)
I have a 1995 Dodge Avenger and it looks good, but I want to get a lowering spring kit. If I did would I have to worry about the suspension bottoming out, or the camber being so extreme that it will wear my tires unevenly? I only want to lower it one or two inches just to get that dropped look. Thanks in advance.
I am looking for the correct coilover spring rates that will be going on a 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra that is 90% street driven and 10% open track driven? The car will be equipped with Maximum Motorsports front/rear coilovers kits, MM sport valved bilstein shocks and struts. It also has these other suspension pieces already installed (panhard rod, torque arm, subframes, MM adjustable LCA’s, strut tower brace, MM camber plates, 17×9 / 17×10.5 ” wheels with 275/40 fronts and 315/35 rear tires).
When I go in for an alignment what is it that I ask for? I have new camber kits front and rear so what kind of alignment do I do?

im on house arrest till god only knows when….(Feds)I have only 1 thing i like to do and that is work on cars…….so i have a 2002 honda civic bodykit/rims/camber kit/drop springs/full cat back/header/changed head and tail lights/under glow/police strobe lights/slotted rotors/sony everything sound system/and already repaired everything that was wrong with it when i used to drive it.just did an oil change and tune up.now im looking for something else 2 keep me busy.any ideas thanx.
p.s been on house arrest 93 days so far called p.o and asked today if i can attend collage for the fall semester to presue automotive tec. he said no and did not tell me when i could……24/7 lock for now.
