Cannot get EAS air suspension to work on 2001 P38 Range Rover DSE?

Hi, I have a 2001 P38 Range Rover DSE and am having a problem with the EAS air suspension.

When parked for a long time, i.e. overnight, the rear end frequently drops down onto the bump stops and this is sometimes followed by the front end. When starting the engine again the pump used to start up and put the car back to the correct ride hide during the engine check stage. However it doesn’t do it anymore and the only way to get the pump to kick in is to drive for a few minutes (normally around 2 – 5 minutes) on the bump stops then it will raise up again.

Obviously driving around on the bump stops at the beginning of every journey is not a preferable option.

Does anyone know of a way that this can be rectified?

After a search online most answers from other peoples problems seem to be replacing the air springs or compressor / pump, but in this case they are working but in a very delayed motion.

no real point of this video, just watch & enojy the sound of my riced-out civic. Has a stock jdm d15b vtec engine. It WAS the non-vtec version but I converted it with the head and other OBD1 parts. Also has full 2.25 exhaust with hi-flow cat and blox muffler(no silencer in video), KYB AGX 4way adjustable dampers, coilover sleeves, front and rear strutbars & tiebars. Boost and tune on it’s way for 250whp.

what are the advantages and dissadvantages to removing the sway bar/ rear stabilizer bar from a 95 thunderbird

ok so you really sound like you know what your talking about. good mechanics are an asset to this country.

well now you got me scared. ok i bought this car and the rear sway bar was already detached but not removed they just kinda detached it and rotated it up and out of the way and secured it with tie straps. as far as handeling this thing can take a curve at 100mph but when it rains it does kinda swerve a little. im pretty sure the entire rearend of this car is not stock. does the sway bar conflict with any type of differential or rear suspension?

Scion TC 08: I’m goin to install the strut and sway bar myself. What types do I look for to buy online?

Is a rear strut bar and a rear sway bar were the same thing? If not, what’s the difference? Also, if I were to pick one, would you get the front or rear, or would that not make sense? Also, what’s the difference in “stiffness settings”? Big difference or no? I drive fast and hard but I’m not a racer.

“Air suspension systems can provide you with a smooth ride as long as they are functioning properly. However, it can be a very expensive chore to repair a broken down air suspension system. All of the parts in a factory air suspension system are interconnected. Damage to one part of the system will often cause damage to other parts. It is a domino effect that results in the failure of multiple components in your air suspension system. After about 3-7 years the air springs/air bags, air lines and air shocks begin to develop cracks and leaks due to age, weather and use.
